In spite of lot of pain and hurdles the Khurda 5601 of Nursing (K5N) has been relentlessly marching ahead with its path. The beginning of K5N has its own story. I am alone dreamt to develop a common platform. I have marched a long way but still the roads seems to be unending.
Now credit of overall success of K5N in all its endeavours goes to the Board of Trustees, Staffs, Students, Well wishers and Co - Colleagues especially goes to my respected and beloved Chairman Prof. Debendra C. Mishra, IAS (Retd.). I hope Chairman will sincere hand holding support to me as well as K5N. If some cooperation determination and help continue it will take K5N to new height.
I again convey my profound gratitude to my Co - Colleagues, Trustees, Staffs, Students and well wishers.

It is the earnest endeavour of Khurda School of Nursing (KSN} to impart health education to ANM sisters in such a way that they will develop integrated approach in all vistas of professional life. We intend to inculcate in them a sense of honesty and patriotism so that national progress and development will be their sole objective. Ours is the only institute, which has residential facility for all the students. This facility is augmented by placement facility and eco friendly environment within the campus. I assure all our students to provide an excellent atmosphere for learning and best success in future pursuits.

After fulfillments of basic needs like food, shelter and clothing (which remains a perpetual struggle for majority of Orissa's Citizenry) comes the need for Healthcare & Educational care for all.
The Maa Sarala Health & Educational Trust, with support of likeminded Trustees of retired & serving Doctors, Social Activists, bureaucrats and from Civil Society has been able to establish the Khurda School of Nursing since 2009 -10 Academic year, after approval of Indian Nursing council and State Nursing Board.
Our first batch of thirty committed students, I am sure will be the Brand arnbassadress of Khurda School of Nursing. The Trust hopes to start the G. N.M. Program with PPP mode with Govt. of Orissa H & FW Department, shortly.
I wish our present & future students a prosperous life and placement in Health Institutions of Orissa and we try to motivate them in the role model of Florence Nitingel.

I am proud to see and mentor our First batch of ANM students to grow in thier professional life and enter Health care Services, imbibed with the philosopy and role model of Mother Teresa and Florence Nitingle. I have straggled through out my life to reach this stage from hapless, near illiterate woman to establish my self and near my children in giving them a good education with all odds. This has been possible by providing skill development training, enterpreneurship and empowerment towomen.
Empowerment of women (men too) through education and skill development is the need of the hour. We motivate and inspire our students and try to indoctrinate them in our traditional Mantra "Manab Seva is Madhab Seva" We teach them about service to God through service and providing Healthcare to all, particularly the poor and the hapless in society.
I am confident, we the members of our Trust Faculties and stake-holding students shall, together, be able to establish a role model and Brand image Khurda School of Nursing, for others to be inspire.
